About
The story behind Shred Camp.

Why I built Shred Camp
I grew up as a little punk rock park rat, mostly riding street BMX, but constantly hopping on my friends' skateboards to work on my ollies, hippie jump stupid stuff, and boneless off of picnic tables. A few years ago, my oldest son wanted a skateboard. So I picked one up for myself as well. Skating made me feel like a kid again, and gave us another great way to hang out.
But I found it hard to get better at skating, and to know what to work on, in what order, to progress. So I built Shred Camp. While I'm not a great skater, I do have a degree in education and have been working in UX and product design for the last 10+ years. This app leans on the expertise I've built as a teacher and designer and leverages it toward helping people skate better.
With access to any trick tutorials on YouTube, session planners, daily trick challenges, a clear visual progression path, and a Stoke feed where you can watch the latest parts drop from the best skaters and companies, Shred Camp is an app built for any skater who wants to get better.
