Privacy Policy

Overview

Shred Camp ("we", "our", or "us") is a skateboarding progression app built to help skaters learn new tricks and track their progress. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices around it.

Information We Collect

• Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password (stored securely via Supabase Auth).
• Skating progress. We store which tricks you have viewed, saved, and marked as landed, along with any session plans you create. This data is tied to your account and synced to our servers so it persists across devices.
• App usage data. We record the dates on which you open the app in order to power streak tracking and relevant notifications. We do not collect analytics beyond what is needed to run the app.
• Push notification token. If you grant notification permission, we store a device token on our servers to send you practice reminders and streak nudges. You can revoke permission at any time in your device settings.
• Purchase information. Subscriptions are handled by RevenueCat and Apple. We receive confirmation of your subscription status but do not store payment card details.
• Local device storage. Some preference data (notification settings, free-tier usage counters) is stored locally on your device using secure storage and is never transmitted to our servers.

How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account
• To sync your skating progress across devices
• To send practice reminders and streak notifications you have opted into
• To determine your subscription status and unlock Pro features
• To improve the app based on general usage patterns

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for advertising.

Third-Party Services

We rely on the following third-party services to operate the app. Each has its own privacy policy.

• Supabase — provides our database and authentication infrastructure. Your account data and skating progress are stored on Supabase servers.
• RevenueCat — manages in-app subscriptions and communicates with Apple to verify purchase status.
• Expo— routes push notifications to your device. Your push token may pass through Expo's notification infrastructure.
• Apple — processes all payments through the App Store and may collect data per their own privacy policy.

Crash Reporting (Sentry)

We use Sentry to automatically detect and report app crashes and errors. When a crash occurs, Sentry collects technical information such as your device type, operating system version, app version, and a stack trace describing what went wrong. This information does not include your name, email, or skating data. It is used solely to identify and fix bugs. Sentry's privacy policy is available at sentry.io/privacy.

Analytics (PostHog)

We use PostHog to collect anonymized, aggregate analytics about how users interact with the app — for example, which tricks are viewed most often and how users move through the onboarding flow. We do not collect personally identifiable information through PostHog. No data is sold or shared with advertisers. PostHog's privacy policy is available at posthog.com/privacy.

Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data from our servers within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Opt out of push notifications at any time via device settings

Children's Privacy

Shred Camp is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
